Legal precedent (in the USA anyway) has declared that emulators are legitimate competitors to console makers. This is good information to know, even for people who are waiting for their official copies to come in the mail. This thread should be about how well the game runs on emulators. This thread would have never been about emulation vs piracy if people hadn't come in looking to fight about it. Piracy is illegal so if you want to get on a high horse about it, you technically can, but it's stated in the rules of the forum that equating emulation with piracy is not allowed. Copies that for a lot of people aren't going to arrive on time. Some of them probably did pirate it though, I would imagine most of those people are SMT fans waiting for their pre-ordered copies to come in the mail. A bunch of people have gotten the game early, so no "everyone playing this emulated" didn't "definitely pirate it" or anything.
